Cleveland, OH (Sports Network) - Cleveland forward LeBron James missed his third consecutive game Tuesday with a sprained left index finger when the Cavaliers hosted the New Jersey Nets.
James originally hurt the finger with 4:41 left in the first half of last Wednesday's 109-74 loss to Detroit, when the Pistons' Nazr Mohammed fouled him.
X-rays were taken at halftime, and came back negative, but James did not return. An MRI on Thursday then confirmed the sprain and James missed the team's subsequent losses to Toronto and Boston.
James is averaging 30.7 points, 8.1 assists and 7.6 rebounds per game this season.
