Cavaliers, LeBron James on the Rise
January 21, 2008
With the Cavs riding a three-game win streak, LeBron James is looking to get revenge for his disappointing four-game sweep in the Finals last summer.
The Cavs are seven games back in the Central Division, behind the Pistons. Last season, they finished three games behind the Pistons, but moved past them in the Eastern Conference Finals, only to lose in the Finals.
During their three-game win streak, James went to San Antonio and defeated the Spurs by two, behind his 27 points, seven assists, and nine boards-proving that Cleveland seems to always win when James gets a double-double or a triple-double.
They are currently surging and looking to get back into the NBA Finals, but first they have to get past the Boston Celtics and the Detroit Pistons. Good luck with both of them, they will need it.
If they are able to make it back to the Finals, I believe King James' hunger to prove himself will push the Cavs past the whoever they may play in the Finals. My guess is that it will be the Spurs or the Lakers.
Hopefully it is a rematch of last year's Finals, and it will again go to seven games. If it does, look for James to carry this team on his shoulders in that seventh game and win, because he is truly the chosen one.
